Save BrokerForce™ Orders and Reports as PDF files
Portable Document Format (PDF) is the de facto standard for the
secure and reliable distribution and exchange of electronic documents and forms
around the world. If you have PDF creation software, BrokerForce can print orders and reports to this file
format just as it can print to a fax and these files can be e-mailed.
With BrokerForce 3.0.30 or greater, one can simply double-click on the report name to output the report to a PDF and attach it to a Microsoft Outlook (2000 or newer) e-mal. With this method, you do not need to have other PDF software.
Otherwise, freeware versions of PDF creation software are available (see link below). Freeware typically has limited capabilities while there are other programs that you can buy with robust features. The free one provided via the link below should be adequate for most users.
If the use of toner (ink) is a concern for your recipient, you should use a RTF (Rich Text Format) file format for sending files instead. This format eliminates graphics but may not format correctly.
To E-mail a batch of Orders using PDF format:
1) Select the 'Orders' report from the Representative form.
2) Select the appropriate parameters such as a vendor or customer that you want
to send orders to and a date range.
3) If you want to use the built-in PDF capabilities of BrokerForce, double-click
on the report name and follow the prompts
4) To use an external PDF software, preview and print your document to the PDF printer in the Printers and Faxes
selection. The link below will install "CutePDF Writer" as an
additional printer option in you list of <Printers and Faexes>.
CutePDF Writer™
Free PDF Creation Software: To download the two necessary files from our
site see:
www.brokerforce.com/download/Folders/Printing/PDF/Converter.exe You will need to download
and run both files. When you next preview a report or order, you can then
click <Print> and select the new "CutePDF Writer" as your printer. You
will be prompted for a file name and location. Be sure to select a path
and file name that you can later return to and use as a file attachment for an
e-mail. Use short file names whenever possible.
