Open Order (Reports)
Accessed from Customer, Vendor, or Representative forms to review orders that do
not have an invoice number unless a check is placed in the <Invoiced> check box.
These reports are appropriate for orders that are generally shipped complete
without backorders. If booked versus shipped and order completion tallies are
needed, the Open Purchase Order and Open Purchase Order Detailed reports should
be used instead.
How to use:
1) After selecting this report from the Reports List drop list, place a dot in
the Date Range option that you would like to filter the report by. Based on the
choice of Order, Ship, or Cancel date options, the From and To drop lists will
show the appropriate dates. If for example, you wanted to see orders placed
during the week of a show, you would select the 'Order' date range option with
begin and end dates that correspond to the show dates.
2) Select a field from the Group By drop list for report grouping. The report's
default grouping is by vendor on the Customer form and by customer on the Vendor
form. Selecting an alternative field from the Group By drop list will change
what field the orders are grouped by. Subtotals are shown by group if more than
one group is included in the report.
3) If a filter other than a date range is needed, select an entry from the drop
list of values based on the report's grouping. If a value is selected in the
Group Values drop list, the report will be filtered to show only orders with
that value.
Select a field to sort the report by from the Sort By drop list. By default,
this will be the 'Ship Date,' but another field may be selected to customize the
report for any particular needs. Click on the Ascend/Descend toggle button to
sort by the field selected in ascending or descending order.
The report may also be filtered for a date range based on the selection of
beginning and/or ending dates. Only orders with ship dates that fall within
these ranges will be reported.
